Scenic New River flows through the U.S. states of North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia before joining with the Gauley River to form the Kanawha River at the town of Gauley Bridge, West Virginia. The river is an essential part of the Ohio River watershed. Despite its name of "new", the river is millions of years old (In fact, it's the oldest river in the country! Estimated between 10 and 360 million years old.) and spans about 360 miles long in total. It offers many recreation activities including tubing, white water rafting, swimming, fishing and calming scenery.

“Testimonial''

Nice Mountain View Cabin! Quiet - Relaxing and entertaining! Nice place to have a quick get a way. There is Tiger's Restaurant and Lounge. The cabin itself has a nice little kitchen, bathroom, bedroom & living Room. Outside are grills, picnic tables and even a nice little fire pit. Swing on the porch. Close to the River as well! Can see it from the porch. So much to do in this little community. Historical town, Trains, Fishing, Water activities (check out CAN outdoor, all kinds of rentals for individuals and families) Definitely going back! Make sure to take the short drive to Sandstone Park for a short hike to the waterfalls and watch for all the beautiful butterflies!
